LARC - Laboratório de Arquitetura e Redes de Computadores

LARC – Laboratory of Computer Architecture and Networks is a laboratory of the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (PCS-EPUSP).

Founded in 1994, it currently has a technical team of more than 50 professionals, including PhDs, master's degree holders, and engineers, responsible for academic activities (undergraduate and graduate education) and research, development, and technological innovation projects.

The laboratory's objective is to transform cutting-edge academic research into real technological solutions, working in partnership with government and the private sector on projects with significant national impact.

Its main research areas and fields of activity include:

  • Advanced Cybersecurity and Post-Quantum Cryptography: Development of robust methodologies and algorithms for secure data transmission and mitigation of emerging cyber threats.
  • Mobile and Sensor Network Architecture: Research into next-generation connectivity infrastructures and protocols for the Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Technology and Knowledge Transfer: Establishment of strategic partnerships with the private sector to bring innovations directly to the national market.
  • Academic and Professional Education: Provision of continuing specialization programs aligned with modern market demands, in addition to strengthening undergraduate and graduate research.
