2004 – 2008 - Poli Para Todos.

• Description: 'Poli Para Todos" within a continuous process of improving engineering education and aware of its social responsibilities, the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo offers, through the Poli Para Todos portal, the free electronic distribution of teaching materials for its regular courses to the entire society. This offer is aimed in particular at students, individual learners and professionals in general interested in teaching and applying best engineering practices. The distribution is free of charge, for non-commercial use, under the terms of a GPL license and aims to: "Provide teaching material on teaching and best practices in the most diverse areas of engineering covered by the regular courses at Poli; "Establish a quality standard for engineering education in order to serve as a reference for those interested in teaching and learning engineering; "To contribute to the establishment and consolidation of interoperability standards for didactic content and learning objects, following international recommendations such as SCORM and IEEE, among others. To be socially responsible towards the community, seeking maximum return to society in its areas of activity. With its 10 semester-long and 3 four-month-long courses offered to a contingent of 4,524 undergraduate students, 16 postgraduate courses with 4,044 students, and 222 specialization courses with more than 7,770 students, Poli further expands this comprehensive range through knowledge related to engineering through the Poli Para Todos program. The work of its 495 professors is being transferred to the Web, providing all those interested in teaching and learning in engineering with the opportunity to assimilate this content. In this sense, it also enables the dissemination of the School's quality standard in the teaching and learning processes in this area of ​​knowledge.

2001 – 2002 - Poli Virtual.

• Description: Poli Virtual. Duration: 2 years; Funding: EPUSP; Value: R$ 150,000.00 The technological evolution of education is currently one of the most discussed topics in the field of education. Its advancements lead to the development of tools that enable faster and more efficient dissemination of the growing amount of material available for information and knowledge. Moving in this direction, the Polytechnic School has been conducting various research projects in the area of ​​education and technology, and reaping the results. A prime example is the Poli Virtual Project, promoting the development of this technology, which is being made available to the community. This project, developed by the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, aims to take a significant step in the evolution of education, questioning the role and performance of face-to-face and distance learning, and modernizing the resources available for such performance, in order to expand it. The pedagogical techniques required for distance learning are significantly different from those normally applied in the traditional education and learning process. The traditional teaching methodology must be adapted for the use of these new technologies. The Poli Virtual Project aims to modernize the communication infrastructure with the implementation of a high-speed network (ATM), deploy resources for the creation of online multimedia teaching materials, and provide technical and scientific information for the various face-to-face or distance learning programs of the School. The project makes intensive use of the Internet (WEB) and implements a Multimedia Knowledge Base, a Video-on-Demand System, and videoconferencing courses, in addition to automating some of the institution's academic processes. The project is divided into two distinct and complementary parts: 1. Automation of Teaching 2. Automation of Services.
