2013 – 2015 - Building a digital bridge for research collaboration between Ohio State University and São Paulo campuses.

• Description: In this project, researchers from São Paulo and Ohio State will work together to develop an end-to-end network infrastructure that will provide advanced, high-speed communication services for collaborative online work with high data traffic. The goal is to structure the path for remote collaboration between Ohio State University and the University of São Paulo. Both São Paulo and Ohio were selected and are developing projects with a Scientific DMZ network, using the same principles and architectural decisions developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, aiming to manage and improve the performance of high data traffic, connecting this network to strategic laboratories and facilities. The technology is based on traffic segregation and specific infrastructure, services, and policies to improve traffic performance. The application to be used to validate the international infrastructure between São Paulo and Ohio will be the IPTV P2P system, funded by FAPESP. This application will be used to validate the international network infrastructure between the two states. Furthermore, it has the advantage of establishing a collaborative environment for the exchange of research between São Paulo and OSU, which will allow for the exchange of researchers from all disciplines in both countries. In the long term, this project will facilitate the deployment of several advanced network services.

2011 – 2014 - FIBRE (Experimentation in the Future of the Internet between Brazil and Europe).

• Description: The objective of this research project is to create a common space between the EU and Brazil for experimental research in the area of ​​the Future Internet in network infrastructure and distributed applications.
